    Hello,

I am one of your regular visitor of your website and have bookmarked it from a long time. First of all I would like to say that your themes are simply great and superb. I am really happy to see each and every of your theme.

I need little favor from you. I have installed the theme AutosCraze on one of my blog and I can see the posts are shown in full page on index.php

I need to make the posts - content excerpt in index page. Can you please tell me where exactly I need to add code and what exactly to add in index.php to make the posts shorter. Like on index.php you can see Most Recent Posts column in which the posts are made excerpt.

I hope you will help me out.

    Thanks and best regards,

    AbdulBasit Makrani

Yes I was wondering the same thing, as on the demo website www.autoscraze.com the blog posts only show the first part, and then it says click here to read more.

When I apply the theme to my blog, all of the blog posts are shown in full - how do you make them show only the first part of the post with “click here to read more” - thanks!!

Hey Abdul - I figured out its a simple wordpress command actually

by entering the term in the HTML code when you are writing a post, it will only show the text that is above this tag on your main page, with the click here to read more option

    hope this helps!!

    Thanks for your comments!

“Click here to read more” actually wordpress command name Insert More Tag. Insert it from Write Toolbar. Shortcut Key for this command (Alt+Shift+T)

This will be done by entering the term when you are writing a post, it will only show the text that is above this tag on your main page.

    @admin

Thanks a lot for the information. I tried and it works great. I am really happy.

I got 2 more questions regarding this theme.

Is it possible to make something like php the_content code in index.php so that it will automatically make the post shorter in index.php and we will not have to click ALT+Shift+T ;)

The other thing I wanted to ask that I am making daily 5-10 posts in my blog and adding tags as well so the tags column in side bar is increasing so is there any code or plugin to limit the tags in sidebar?

Thanks once again tarin and admin :)

when i load up the blog at www.autoscraze.com i can see it fine

when i load up my blog the main page loads fine, but when i click on a post, it loads with errors and the sidebar is where the post should be, and the post doesn’t exist

firefox shows no problems with the theme at all

i tried checking the files in dreamweaver, and it gives me errors on the style.css file, stating unsupported errors for IE for “min-height” and “max-width” functions

    any ideas??

As an update, I backed up my files, and over-wrote them with the originals and it seemed to fix the problem

I am now going to overwrite them one by one and determine which file has the problem, as it seems it is related to something I myself have done - will keep you updated

I solved the problem - it seemed to have been something of how I copied the code for my own google adsense into the spot where adsense was in the default theme

For those of you that are using your own adsense theme, I would advise that you ONLY CHANGE THE PUBLISHER ID FIELD

I tried to copy the entire code that google gave me to replace the default ads, but that seems to be what caused the problem

From what I can see, not changing the rest of the code is irrelevant, just be sure that the ads you select are the same size as those in the default template

If the admin can comment on why this happened, that would be valuable to understand how to properly modify the code in the future - thanks in advance!!

As a final addition to the solution I found to this problem, I figured out how I can infact use the code the google provides

The problem with the original google code was that it includes tags

you must delete these tags from the google code for it to work correctly - failure to do so will cause the posts to not appear correctly

hope this helps everyone that is having problems with the code!!

    Hey Admin!!

I was trying to add more widgets to my sidebar, but each time I add one, it is formatted differently than the rest of my sidebar

the links are blue and turn to purple when you click, instead of being grey

also the background is black instead of darker grey - any ideas??

    Hey Admin!!

who would I talk to to get this template customized to my own specifications?? I don’t want a LOT changed - but just a bit to make it unique to my blog - i see that you sell templates on this site so I figured it would be best to ask here first!!

I would really like to have this theme customized for my own application and am willing to pay for the service

I also cannot get brians threaded comments to work and its driving me nuts trying to figure it out!!

Please contact me so that we can do business and at the very least sort out the problem with the very popular threaded comments plugin! Thanks!!

    Hello!
I would just like to say that this is a great theme that I plan on using for one of my domains in the future. Also, I decided to feature this theme as the best theme of the day (Dec. 30) on my site. Thanks once again!
