Well I have read some decent number of SEO books (when I had started I had too much time in hand and I used to think its good to read ebooks) as well as have spent hundreds of dollars (may be more than thousand) in the past 3 years (earlier being naive and then later being curious) to know the secrets of SEO, Link and traffic building and after spending so much money and time, I can safely say that almost 80% of them are useless and do not even deliver what they promise and were only put by the writer to make money. For the rest 20% which deliver what they promise, 19% gives only generic information. So you read it, feel good about it and after that, you forget about it.

Sometime back I had made a list of Keyword Research Tools where I had put Google Adwords, Keyword Discovery and Wordtracker at same position. Now anyway who has used all three will easily put google adwords tool way better then any of the other keyword tools available in the market but what about the second best ?

So 2008 is about to end in few hours time and this was my first year working full time. It was full of ups and downs and though I certainly could not achieve most of my goals, I can certainly take lot of positives from my failures and inability to perform better. Not to mention, the enormous amount of knowledge which I had acquired in past 12 months. Since the first year is always the hardest, I guess I did alright and will certainly do better in 2009. Matt Cutts had made this post a year back about the importance of subdomains and subdirectories as far as SEO is concerned and how Google is now treating them.
I felt to cover the same topic after one year of that post to see what the ground reality is. Now it is commonly acknowledged (and you can verify it by searching various webmaster SEO forums) that google still do not treat sub domains as sub directories.
