Many Thanks

Doh!
I was distracted by my gf when I posted the comment, she was talking about her uncle and I ended up signing his name instead of my own,
Nevermind, malcom, martin its all the same.
anyway, I would love to know how to get the thumb images to display next to the posts on the front page, it looks awesome.
Thanks
MARTIN:)

Malcom,
When you are writing a post, you need to scroll down the page to “Advanced Options” . Click on “Custom fields” to expand it. In the “Key” box, add: home feature. and in the “value” box the url of the image you want to display, then click on “Add Custom Field”. The next time you want to add a thumbnail in a new post just expand the “select button”, select the home feature key, fill the value box with the image url and click the “add custom field button”. Recommended image size is 70×70, as the stylesheet is written for this size.

Hi Liza,
thanks for your speedy reply, I got that working now, I knew it was somehting to do with custom keys ( I think) but I found some text inside the php files which tells you what to do too, so I got it working now:)
It rocks!
Have an awesome day! and thanks again!

Well,
I’ve had a lot of fun with this theme, tweaking and what not.. it has a lot of potential, thanks for releasing it:)
I noticed you updated your profile, I’m kind of curious though.. why are you holding a large bunch of carrots?..

Martin, i just love ‘em
on October 9th, 2008 2:52 pm
Heh, and why not.. Carrots are good for your health.:)
I hope it didn’t sound like a strange question, only I have a house bunny who seems to have an issue with carrots, which is strange for a rabbit. And I was just looking it up on the net to see if its common for rabbits to have carrot issues, and checked back here and saw you had updated your profile.. and there you were with a whole bunch of em lol..
I thought there was a cosmic carrot conspiricy going on..hehe
he will eat them if I cut them into sticks but won’t touch them if there any other shappe, or just natural.. strange little oddity..
Anyway, I been having a lot of fun with this theme, and managed to get the main feature pic and a few other snippets installed.
Hope you have a wonderful day!:) and a radiant evening:)

I like your theme, and tried it, but am unsure how to go about getting content on the home page, such as “Featured Post” and “Recent Category Entries” etc. Also, how do you edit those names?
Thanks
on November 3rd, 2008 8:02 pm
Chris, you need to open the home.php file and edit this line:
< ?php $recent = new WP_Query("cat=1&showposts=2"); while($recent->have_posts()) : $recent->the_post();?>
- replace cat=1 with cat= the category id you want to display
- showposts=2 with showposts= number of posts to display
to show Featured Post, open the tabber.php file and do the same.

Very nice theme. Well thought out and easy to work with. I like it a lot. Only question I have it about the little navigation line at the top of your pages here. At the top where it says Browse > Home / Technology……. I don’t get that. Is that something else you are using??

Hello Bob,
Open the theme folder, then the folder called plugins, retrieve the breadcrumb-navigation-xt file , move it in your plugins directory and activate it. That’s all.

I’m playin again…. If I wanted to try one of the other color schemes can I swap certain files and graphics or is it more than that?

Well, all you need to change is the style.css file and the theme images.

Nice!!!

Hello again, I was wondering what you are using to support the gravatars here with your comments. I quickly tried Easy Gravatar plugin which I use on another blog but it doesn’t seem to display the image.

Bob,
i just posted the code you need in a txt file here, go and grab it. It must work.
on December 6th, 2008 4:40 am
I copied and pasted it exactly as it is in the text file (thank you very much) but I still don’t get them. Looking at the page source and still nothing between the div tag. Strange. I do see they work on here and I don’t quite understand it.

Try to check the Avatars setting in ( Dashboard - Settings - Discussion Settings ) and change it to ( Show Avatars ) if disallowed.
on December 6th, 2008 5:34 am
Oh, theres an avatar setting in the dashboard??
I did go looking for someting like that… Thank You!! For educating me..
All looks to be working wonderfully now!!

Hi,
I’m getting many compliments on the look of our website thanks to your theme and your kind help. Looks like I will stick with it for a while. It is nice to work with and I really can’t think of anything to suggest adding to it except maybe a thumbnail for the feature. I also upgraded to WP 2.7 with no problems. So I am set… Once again, Thanks and stop by the site if you get a chance.
